Then why do any coaches get fired. If the team's play on the field, whether it is good or bad, is exclusively the result of the players, why do coaches get fired. For that matter, why do they get hired or receive raises...they didn't do anything. It was just the players who played the game.
So let me get this straight, you want to fire the special teams coach? The one area of strength that has remained a strength for the Tigers every year. One excited kid took a bad angle on a punt block, one that he should have gotten too, and you want to fire who? The head coach

One excited kid? One? What about the other excited kids who've been dropping crucial passes the last few years, or the one excited kid who fumbled twice last night (once while running the clock out), or the other excited kid who fumbled last night, or the excited kids who ran 5 yard routes when we needed 6 or 7. Last night was a microcosm of Les Miles tenure at LSU. Not bashing the kids, bashing the coaches. There is no discipline on this team from the coaching staff down. I won't even address the failures to make adjustments, another staple of Miles' tenure, and a clear coaching gaffe that you can't blame on the kids.
