He has not improved in any facit of the game after all of last year, this Spring, and this Fall camp. Not one damn bit. When will the coaches see this, and go to plan B, whatever that is.

There must be some action available to the coaching staff. Obviously I don't want this to happen, but what would they do if Jefferson sustains a season ending injury. Would they just forfeit the remainder of games? The coaches should just do what they would have to do if such would happen. Surely, we have someone else on our active player roster. Could it get any worse? Should Lee start the next game?

I disagree. He displayed more confidence and leadership last night. On his throw to Randle, he hung in until the very last moment and got punished for it. Last year's JJ would have scrambled a few seconds before that.

He also was better about getting the team up to the line with a play called. I thought he did very well in that regard.

Finally, he made some nice reads on the short routes. Hit some nice slant passes. Shep dropped one third down pass that hit him in the numbers (he did get tagged by one of their stud LBs).

I saw improvement. There were positives about yesterday's game.

He had a tough game. In the first quarter he hit his receivers but was erratic in his location of the the throws. To high or down around the knees. He nailed the long td pass to Randle though. He put it right on him.

The issue I have is he still does not read progression and check to other receivers. If his primary receiver is covered them he runs. He needs to find somebody else to get it to.

Also he is not allowed to audible at any time it seems. Whatever is called in huddle gets run not matter how the defense is set up.

This is very troublesome for a Junior quarterback to not develop on the mental side of the position a little more.

We have the worst QB situation of any big time D1 program. Every team I watched yesterday all day had more competitive Quarterbacking than we do. That includes Jacksonville St., Utah State, TCU, UCONN, Baylor, Clemson, Oregon State etc etc.

JJ is proving not to be a D1 level quarterback. He can't read the defense (still), if his primary target is not open he goes to immediate scramble mode or throws it away, he isn't fast enough to be considered a true duel threat anyway, his release is slow, footwork not there. The last throw at the end of the half says it all.

The pass to Randle was impressive. I thought that was an improvement over the previous year but the rest of the game it seemed that he was the same QB we saw last year. Will throw high percentage passes but not move the chains.

First game, will see how he progresses from here.

his throwing has actually improved greatly IMO.

however his hesitation and lack of prediction has not changed at all. frick

he is still our best option though. just accept this is our situation.

there are a lot of other guys to look at before you look at Jefferson.

Ridley
Claiborne
Crowton
Taylor

off the top of my head.
