also try the rigs and reef befor the drill ships if the water is clean. we have been catching wahoo all summer from 130+ feet of water as long as it is blue. Pink stretch 30's. I havent been in a couple of weeks but the last time I was out there there was tree drill ships in the area. West of GC 18 and about 20miles North of brutus.

couldnt do overnighter last weekend had problems finding people to go. most were in atlanta. saw only one drill ship about 10 miles north of reef. caught one nice black on shakey bait. headed to reef caught 1 grouper and 1 aj. saw a few shrimp boats. chummed and all we saw were sharks and bonita and a few lemons. seas got rough probably 3-4 with an occasional 5 about noon so we decided to head in. got 60 lbs of shrimp off a shrimp boat that had just pulled up their nets for 14 beers. in all good trip.

definately headed to marco polo this weekend. seas supposed to be flat. let me know if anyone decides to head that way. we are always looking for someone to buddy boat with
