I live in Alabama and had some friends over for the game. I made a big pot of jambalaya and was so nervous, I stayed in the kitchen for part of the first half by myself finishing up the jambalaya and watching the game on the little kitchen TV.

When Porter intercepted Manning, everyone in my house started jumping up and down and screaming. I ran out my front door into the front yard and yelled at the top of my lungs. A lifetime of being a Saints fan, going to games, suffering, and having your heart broken, evaporated in that moment.

I was watching the videos in the other thread showing the reactions to the Saints winning and wanted to know:

1. Where were you?
2. How did you react?

Obviously, everyone screamed and yelled. But, anything else?

I honestly do not remember how I reacted. I just remember there being a lot of yelling and jumping in the room.

Man I can remember after the high-fives, man hugs, jumping and yelling; there was beer everywhere! Beer cans upside down flowing on my boys den floor. He didnt give a shite though, cause the Saints won the fricking SuperBowl!

Waited to see if there were any flags.

Then I just went kind of numb--like I still couldn't believe what had just happened.

Then my wife and nephew started hugging each other and out of the corner of my eye, I could see my son looking at me and smiling.

It was beautiful.

And thanks to your thread, I've gotta go watch Super Bowl 44 for the umpteenth time!!!

I and a couple of family members and friends were in Cafe Giovanni's on Decatur right off Canal St.

When Porter stepped in front of that ball, there was a tenth of a second of registering that he had even made the interception, and with each yard that he ran, everyone in the restaurant levitated in the air, their vocal chords outside of their bodies, screaming:

Ohhhhhhh Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Gooooooo Gooooooooooooooooooooooo
Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Holy shiiiiiiit Oh my Gooooooooodd

Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!

That about covers it

Thought I'd share the Super Bowl experience with my own family who have suffered all these miserable years along with me.

So, my sister had this big party at her house. She had a big screen HD tv hooked up to the Cox cable box set up in your kitchen den and another television in her living room... without a box so attached directly to a cable.

If you've noticed, HD broadcasts are about ten seconds behind the raw cable broadcasts.

Early in the game I decided it was too crowded in front of the HD screen so moved myself to the raw cable screen. Anyway, during the game the HD crowd complained that I was spoiling their excitement because I would see the plays earlier than they did and scream. So, I promised to just sit there and not make a sound.

Anyway, so when Porter intercepted I just about busted a blood vessel in my brain holding back a big whoop. I was jumping up and down like a silent banshee cheerleader. When I finally heard the big HD tv show the play I ran into there and let it all out.

Then I started crying.

I was at Viola's on Decatur in the quarter. I watched the NFCCG there and it went pretty well so I figured I'd go back for the Superbowl. It was a great atmosphere. Great place to watch the game.

When the pick happened, the whole place pretty much turned into a giant mosh pit. People were freaking the frick out, me included. What was even crazier is I was getting worried as the Colts were marching down the field, so one of my friends leaned over and told me, "pick six, right here." How he called it, I'll never no. Probably just lucky as shite.

I'm so conditioned...sometimes can't take it, get stressed with the coin toss, reruns make me nervous, so when I see something I don't like, turn it off! Happens a lot, especially in a big game.

In Jan 04 while driving to work, heard on the radio Nick Saban was now the highest paid coach. Realized LSU actually won. Would always wear my Saints jacket to work and folks asked, Why? Told them every time I wore it, LSU won...told me to keep wearing it.

Flash forward Feb 2010...all my friends and family knew...are you going to watch? Didn't watch much of the Vikes game, but my son in law INSISTED, invited us to watch the 'big screen'.

Actually watched the ENTIRE first half...everyone was waiting to see when I would leave. Well it happened. Second half on side kick and score...FINE! But then Manning marches right back down the field to take the lead. I wasn't going to watch that *!%# beat us! I left.

A while later my phone goes crazy, text messages, ringing...from all over the country. You would have thought the Saints won the Super Bowl. My cousin in Kentucky was one of the callers, Turn it on now...the Saints just intercepted for a TD, they're going to win. Turned it on just in time to see the replay.

I had like 15 people at my house to watch the game. Once the INT happened, we all started jumping around and yelling. In all the excitement, I didn't realize it was returned for a TD until I saw the replay.

1.) Where were you?
I along with my little cousin was at my aunts house in Krotz Springs.

2.) How did you react?
Well as nervous as I was the whole game, I watched the entire game standing in tha kitchen. As soon as Porter caught the interception, I started jumping up an down and was hollering. After he crossed the goal line, my cousin, aunt, and I had a group hug in the kitchen along with all three of us jumping and hollering in unison. Soon after this my aunt tripped over a chair an dislocated her elbow and popper her shoulder out of place, and although she was in pain, she chose not to go to tha hospital until it was over. Will NEVER forget the night!

I balled like a baby, and was just sitting there at this bar in disbelief. It was so surreal to me. Still is.
