Right, I usually do not goose hunt unless it's outlaw season. In the afternoons, when we're bored around the camp, we'll bring 6-12 speck decoys and usually limit out. I couldn't imagine putting out a rag spread for 2 specks. Im assuming y'all like to hammer the snows and blues, in that case, then yes- you can not beat a rag spread (not implying that you didn't already know this).

Yes, rag spreads only come out when we're going in for the big snow kill.

I guess my point was that when duck hunting I've been just as successful calling a spec down (when flying solo) with no decoys and dropping them. I think a dozen or so could possibly help bring in a few that aren't flying solo, but I dont know because we've never put them out.

As for when we plan a goose hunt, we use so many rags I honestly couldn't say if a dozen or so of the lifelike decoys would help because we tend to kill just as many without them than the times we have had a few of them out.

ETA: I will say those are some very nice looking decoys though.
