Anybody use any of their goose decoys? They look great and are a bit pricey, but I've got a line on some new in the box at a very good price.

Dont think I'd ever spend over $300 on 6 decoys no matter how good they look.
$300 can get you a lot of rags which IMO is far greater in getting geese to come in that 6 standouts.

I'm with ya, but would you feel the same at $125?

I'd definitely buy them for $125...As for the rags, of course they will be more effective. But, if you're throwing some speck decoys out into a duck decoy spread, then I would much rather 6 of these.

Not a bad price on that Wiltz so if you want the standups then that may be good to go for you.
I will say I've hunted a good bit of geese out on the prairie west of Houston and we rarely ever use the lifelike decoys.
We typically put out about 1200-1600 rags and have had great success with that. So if you were asking me personally, I'd probably still use that money to buy additional rags. In my experience, the sheer number of rags the geese have to look at seems to be more important than the dozen or so lifelike decoys you put out. I've been with groups that have used both and haven't noticed any difference. I have noticed a difference when we use 800 vs. 1400 rags though.

We hunt with them... we have around 36-40 with 4 snow and 4 canadians included in that... so around 30 Speck decoys... They are so worth it!!! We have killed way more geese with these decoys that with regular full body speck decoys!!

Ok, to this point, then yes I guess you could put out a few when duck hunting. But to be honest I'm not sure how much 6 will help in bringing them down.
As a matter of fact, we've worked many specs down to our duck decoys just by calling back to them. Last year I can recal at least 4 times where we called a spec down without any goose decoys around.

Here is a picture of our kill last day of season last year... Killed out limit plus 2 blues by 8o'clock and we could've stayed and killed more snows and blues...

Right, I usually do not goose hunt unless it's outlaw season. In the afternoons, when we're bored around the camp, we'll bring 6-12 speck decoys and usually limit out. I couldn't imagine putting out a rag spread for 2 specks. Im assuming y'all like to hammer the snows and blues, in that case, then yes- you can not beat a rag spread (not implying that you didn't already know this).

Yes, rag spreads only come out when we're going in for the big snow kill.
I guess my point was that when duck hunting I've been just as successful calling a spec down (when flying solo) with no decoys and dropping them. I think a dozen or so could possibly help bring in a few that aren't flying solo, but I dont know because we've never put them out.
As for when we plan a goose hunt, we use so many rags I honestly couldn't say if a dozen or so of the lifelike decoys would help because we tend to kill just as many without them than the times we have had a few of them out.
ETA: I will say those are some very nice looking decoys though.

I got some to try about five years ago from a freind that worked with them. They are very nice decoys. Much better than any other full body decoy out there but you do pay for them.
