The boys in green are out in full force. Friday was the first time I have ever been stopped on the water by a game warden. And wouldnt you know it, my fishing liscene was expired! I totaly forgot about the June 30th expiration date, I had just bought a new one in April. All in all the guys were pretty cool about it, but still gave a ticket. Anyone know what the cost of this ticket will be?

50 bucks. I once got an angling without a license ticket on July 6th. I forgot about the June 30 expiration too. Since then I've gotten a lifetime license...

I would go buy a license, and call them and explain why you got a ticket, and ask for mercy. They may just show some.

The reason for this suggestion is that my dad got a ticket for not having his boat regisration with him. He took it by the place and showed it to them, and they dropped the ticket.

I actualy called the WLF, as I was getting the ticket, and purchased one over the phone. I know they have to do there thing and I understand I was just curious as to the cost of the ticket, I dont mind paying it because I know I fricked up. However I may seriously consider getting the lifetime license after this is all said and done.

On the trip I got caught angling w/out a license the possum cops also made my fishing partner take a field sobriety test because he had two empty beer cans on his end of the boat. The kick in the head was the john boat we were fishing in didn't even have a motor on it. Just a trolling motor.

I get stopped in biglake allll the time. I can't count how many times I've been stopped..always know it too.

T-tops and gray hulls, always see them coming. Never been ticketed though.

I got one a few years back and think it was over $100. I was in the middle of summer classes at UNO and it just didn't cross my mind about date change (Got my ticket on July 2nd). Agent also ticketed me for every fish I had and was charged for that too.

Yes you will. You have to have it on you I was always told. Might be different now that game wardens have a computer database and check it but the way it used to be you get the ticket if you don't have it on you.

My kids are 4 and 1 and I already bought them the hunting/fishing combo. Been having mine for about 15 years.

Same here. Bought my son his for his 1st birthday and will do the same for son #2. I got mine at 14 and it has already more than paid for itself. I just recently bought the lifetime gear license for crab traps for $100 I just wish they would issue one card and have endorsements on the card instead of having a lifetime license for each gear type.

Yeah, we got hit for fishing 50 yards into the closed zone a while back.
They were actually very easy on us, we got warning tickets. This has to have been a bitch for them with all the fishers in and around SLA.

I got my lifetime hunt/fish combo for $400 when I was 9, now they are well over $1000, best investment I ever made. And on top of that all I need to buy each year to stay legal is a HIP and Federeal Duck Stamp, so much easier
