i was in normn last night and the topic came up. everyone at the table talked about how they hated les, then went on to say "it's probably becuase he beat our arse two years in a row". he get's more respect here than he does in La. granted, i have my concerns but he has a chance to shut people up. let's be honest, losing close games to bama, florida and penn state (all ended the season with 10+ wins) isn't a bad thing. on the other hand it's the way we lost to ole miss, and damn near losing to mississippi state, that has me concerned. i do like the hires he made on defense two years ago and i think bg could be a huge upgrade to the offense, but this year is a "do or die" year for les imo. granted, the schedule is tough but anything less than 9 wins is a disappointment. florida is replacing one of the best players in college football over the last 10, and have huge holes on defense. bama is at home and has some question marks as well. unc will have a great defense, but not much on offense. ole miss is at home and lost a ton as well, and the list goes on and on.

You just named our two toughest opponents, plus another one that has beaten us twice in a row, plus one that is favored over us at the moment in a game to be played less than two weeks from now, basically making the argument that this year is our chance to beat them, yet you'd still be OK with only 9 wins? That means losing four games. What four games should a really good team lose if Florida, Bama, UNC and Ole Miss are having all those problems you are talking about?
