I'm willing to bet it wont happen until the last few hours before the deadline, which is Monday night, right?

But I will add that if they wait that long it doesn't give ZL much time to think about it. So, unless he's given them the heads up on what it takes for him to sign that could be good for LSU and bad for LA.

I think it's 12:00 am Monday night too... regardless though, I don't really have high hopes for it. I think he's gonna take the money and run. Quite frankly, I wouldn't blame him but I really hope he stays with us.

I would assume he would have to have time for a lawyer to look over the offer or is that against the rules due to football.

And also, these deadline times aren't firm anyways. Strasburg went over by like an hour.

Believing you mean they will be making him a new contract offer, but still--a very good question. Also, what was the last official offer they made to Z Lee after they drafted him and has it been reported how much Lee will require from the Dodgers for him to sign? Sorry, if Germans!

Maybe a lawyer to look over the contract, but I read somewhere that ZL said he and his family were making the decision, and he wouldn't be using an advisor.

I don't think they ever made an offer. He's quoted saying the only time he's talked to them they just called to say they drafted him

After the Ely debacle, and the string of luck we've had in certain instances with the QBs, I have a bad feeling too.

Sure hope the kid stays, but understand it if he goes.

I frankly believe not hearing much from them at this point doesn't mean much, they can still offer at the last minute.

What are our options if he goes? You think we will press for someone else?

If we lose him, I think we have to go after someone else, especially after losing CG. We have Rivers committed, but he is a project, and I would venture to guess he won't be ready by his RSFR year, or we'll be back in the same boat we were in the last two years. I think the staff goes hard after a couple guys who already committed and try and get them to decommit.

Prayer. Long and sustained prayer. Pray to what ever God you believe in for Lee Jr. to not take the money and run. If he does go, then pray even harder to the God that didn't answer your previous prayer, for JJ or JL not to be injured. If either one of them goes down, LSU is up the shite creek without a paddle. The only option after that is Bailey, McCartney or moving the Lord Savior Messiah back to QB.

All that being said, I don't think "God" really gives a damn about college football......

Regarding the options if Lee signs with the Dodgers--Is it too late to get Mitch Mustain here--LOL?

its a standard form. the only thing he finds out is the number, bottom line. They are not "negotiating". They are hanging him out to dry.
