I would say not a big loss because the need right now is for pitching. Right now, losing an average pitcher would be a bigger loss than a great position player, because we are in desperate need of pitching.

Yes, Garin has never been "a part" of the LSU baseball team so it's not entirely a big loss. Secondly Garin wasn't expected to make it through the draft and Jacoby Jones falling to the 19th round in my opinion leaves reason for hope.
