Not entirely sure, because baseball position players have had the surgery, and come back alot sooner than pitchers. But, I would imagine a QB would take about the same amount of time as a pitcher considering their throwing mechanics follow somewhat of the same concept.

Good question, though. Adam, care to chime in?

I think my initial guess would be that a QB, not named Jordan Jefferson, would actually have a closer motion to an infielder with a short quick motion as opposed to the more long-armed motion of a pitcher (or Jefferson).
