Adam, you, as well as everyone else on here have seen the complaints about our "pitching" coach, or lack thereof. Yes, I know Grewe has that title, but he has no previous experience in that position. Do you believe his lack of experience in this position contributed to the guys transfering, and also the many arm injuries our pitchers picked up this off-season? Maybe he didn't monitor their routines properly or work on their mechanics??? Just wondering, TIA.
While we may never know entirely the matter of this subject in short, yes. What players should look for as they mature is a steady progress of their pitches and in some cases velocity.
If I had to choose between Rooney or Grewe no doubt I would choose Rooney due to his stronger credentials. The 2011 season in my opinion as well as many others will be the determining factor on whether Grewe keeps his job at LSU.
To answer your last question, I wouldn't put all the blame on Grewes shoulders for the pitchers going down last season ...that could be from overuse in the past.

That's what I figured.... The reason(s) for TJ surger doesn't seem to happen over a season or from summer ball, although it sometimes can happen from one pitch. I believe how well our staff does this upcoming year will have alot to do with whether or not Grewe keeps his job, but he is a good friend of PM's, and is actually a pretty good coach. Maybe a different position will open up, and we can keep him on staff in some other capacity.
