1 and 1A are QB and OLine. Not sure you can separate the two. A good QB can make an average OLine look really good (Drew Brees), while a bad QB can make the same line look pretty bad. Need significant improvement from both spots for LSU to have a successful season.
The passing game and running game is good, The offense is legit. The only player I know that makes an offensive line look bad is Big Ben but he's won 2 Superbowls with it so why change.
But on the subject I posted this in the Murphy thread and I think this is my major concern:
quote:
They let Hester assert himself as lead rusher in 07 1000+ yard back. They let Scott assert himself as lead rusher in 08 1000+ yard rusher. I really believe OL was the problem no doubt because you couldn't get a good gauge on any RB which in turn had them just playing roulette with em. Nobody was able to lead the pack.
You forget we lost big Herm(senior), Big Helms(senior center), a healthy Ciron(played injured last year), and beast FB Quinn J(senior)
We replaced them with an injured Ciron, lightweights Josh Dw and T Bob, left Hitt in over more talented players, and installed a new blocking scheme.
