I agree Tigerballz.......seems like this would just blow it up completely. I may have to keep him to the back-yard pool since I already screwed this up.......I was just hoping someone had righted the ship after fu%$ing it all up as I did.

You still may have a chance but you need to start WAY BACK at the beginning to make your dog feel okay. I can't stress enough how important it is to watch your dog and understand how it is feeling.
A few things I mentioned above may have to be only done for 3-5 min a day! You do not want to push this especially with the situation you are currently in.
