The beginning was really good. It gave a more comprehensive view of LSU football and the history of the program up to that point. Also has some pretty good commentary including John Ed Bradley and Peter Finney.

Are they going to tell us what bar his Heisman is in?

Also, is it sad that he is our only HEisman winner. I was told Stovall should have won it but if we are a top program why don't we ever have anyone in the running?

It is in TJ Ribs on Acadian Highway in Baton Rouge they are the owner I believe they purchased it from Billy Cannon himself. I believe it should be at LSU with the rest of the tropheies and things of that nature. Billy has been in so much trouble money wise over the years that it finally caught up with him. You can see the trophey anytime you go in there it is mounted on a rotating pedistol inside a glass case with other LSU memrobilia such as Shaq's shoes and uniform and also Pistol Pete's things also. There are a lot of things to see in there that makes it a must see place to go and eat BBQ.

He is the only winner of the trophey and yes Jerry Stovall should have won it in 1961 but the West Cost players and media somehow got the box stuffed against him and Terry Baker from Oregan won it that year. I believe that is what happened I remember something to that nature happening.

That documentary was very well done. I have an autographed photo by Billy Cannon from the Halloween night run

Stovall got robbed (1962). I heard someone tell it like this: since Billy Cannon won it in '59, they didn't want to give it to Stovall in '62, because that would've been too close to Cannon winning it. So they gave it to Terry Baker of Oregon State.

Although I wish Stovall could have won it, it's pretty cool that Terry Baker is the only player ever to win a Heisman and play in the Final Four in basketball in the same year.

Bama claims 3282359 national championships and they didn't even have a Heisman winner until last year. Football is a team sport. Individual awards are nice, but there is no "I" in team

Yeah Im not worried at the fact we haven't had a heisman winner since Cannon. It's nice to have but it doesn't mean instant championships

No, CBS College Sports Channel is having "Heisman week" this week. All week they have been/will be playing notable games of past Heisman trophy winners during the day.

At night, at least tonight, they had these little thirty minute documentaries on every individual Heisman winner with interviews, history of their time at the school, why they won the trophy, where they are now, etc.

The one on Billy Cannon was very well done because it went into detail about his redemption story of recent years, his induction back into the college fb hall last year, his jersey retirement. It was very good

In the south, it was Leroy Jordan, the all american LB from ala. vs. Jerry Stoval RIP LSU. Jordan finished a close 2nd to Stovall in the south and caused jerry to not win the Heisman he deserved.

Stovall was the media favorite believe it or not. Looked like a shoe-in and he deserved it. Everybody's All-American played virtually the entire game every game. Leroy Jordan of Alabama pulled more southern votes than was expected which caused Jerry to finish a close second to Baker from Oregon State. Everyone in this neck of the woods was shocked he did not win it.
In '78 if Charles Alexander had not been injured most of the season(nagging hamstring pull)he stood a good chance of winning it. Received quite a bit of national hype coming off his record-setting '77 performance. That he finished 5th in '78 is a testament to how hyped he was going into the season.
