Solid week last week, with The Thing (greatest horror/sci-fi film of all time) and Chloe, which was surprisingly good. Good in the sense that Amanda Seyfried showed her big beautiful breasts, but bad because Julianne Moore did too.
I've got The Ghost Writer coming tomorrow. Directed by Roman Polanski (before he went to prison) and starring Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan, this one looks pretty solid.
A writer (Ewan McGregor) stumbles upon a long-hidden secret when he agrees to help former British Prime Minister Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan) complete his memoirs on a remote island after the politician's assistant drowns in a mysterious accident. In director Roman Polanski's tense drama, the author realizes that his discovery threatens some very powerful people who will do anything to ensure that certain episodes from Lang's past remain buried.
What's in your queue this week?

Got Chloe at home in today's mail, and started watching Friday Night Lights series from the beginning (2006). FNL is surprisingly good.

I'm at work so can't check...is this on Instant Watch? I find myself taking full advantage of this and ordering actual DVDs less.

Ghost Writer is outstanding. The book is good too. I think you'll enjoy it.

The Good Night
I really liked it. I strongly suggest.

The Ghost Writer was pretty good. It was very slow for the first hour and a half, but the climax was good and I enjoyed the ending. It was shot well.
I could have done without the blatant political undertones (the Condi Rice lookalike), but I guess I should have expected that. I guess I just prefer my political undertones to be more subtle.
Three stars out of five for me.

o/t.... unfortunately that rapist never went to prison. House arrest while waiting for extradition that never happened isn't considered prison in my book.
