you can certainly offer some insight on this, but it seems to me that Crowton has always thought teaching his system was more important than developing the intangibles and leadership within the players. It appears to me as a QB coach he's more interested in teaching the science of being a QB vs. the art.

Yeah. Most coaches focus on the science first, and the art is developed through experiences. The point is the experiences are being hindered by taking away the responsibility of "checking" the presnap reads.
