I had a suspiciion before hand about the average negatiger with their usual beat down comments,...but after going to Sec Media day today...I observed something...most of them are too damn young to know anything about LSU football

I remember watching Terry Robiskie set what was then the school record for most rushing yards in a game, and then seeing his son play against us in the national championship for Ohio State. I remember a decent, but not great, coach who was a great guy take over a top-5 national program and slowly run it into mediocrity over a period of years, while always winning enough to justify keeping his job, but also always remaining clearly inferior to the great coach at Alabama...the FIRST time.

Welcome back to the 1970s.

Which were better than the 80's and 90's when we spent two decades trying to find a decent replacement after we helped Mac pack.

With the exception of Arnie, who was just stopping by, replacing a good not great coach could lead to several horrible, not decent coaches and two decades of pure suck!!!

Les Miles is not mediocre and he has something that Mac never got, a big fat diamond ring that says he's a lot better than mediocre.

And he'll give us something neither of the other two NC coaches did, a sixth year and a chance for another crystal ball...

Have a great day!
