Went to the movies and saw inception last night... In the previews the movie "the town" was shown. If you havent seen the preview for it yet i am here to let you know. this movie is going to kick arse!!!

Yes. Academy Award Nominee Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) is teaming up with Oscar Winner Ben Affleck and Oscar Winner Chris Cooper in this epic tale about modern day bank robberies in Boston. Looks real good. The masks that the bank robbers wear are creepy

I must say this movie looked very appealing to me when I first saw the trailer but then I got to thinking...

Does anyone else think this movie is merely a Boston-set redux of the movie "Heat"??

Think about it...Affleck is DeNiro, messing with the girl who doesn't know he's a bank robber while trying to do that "last score" to leave his life of crime forever; Pacino is that guy from Mad Men; the team members are all there looking to push the envelope; etc.

I don't think it's a stretch in my comparison. Regardless, I'll probably see The Town, just thought the similarities were pretty obvious.

I saw the preview before Inception as well and had the exact same thought.
