Well, you'll be near downtown which has Music Row, the Country Music HOF, plenty of bars and restaurants, etc. The downtown bar scene/nightlife is pretty cool too as they have a dueling piano bar much like at Pat O's, but the name escapes me...

If you're interested, the Jack Daniel's distillery is about 45 minutes from Nashville on the interstate.

I must say though I'm not sure what condition downtown Nashville will be in following that crazy flooding up there a couple months back...nearly all of downtown was under water for a couple weeks.

downtown is just fine, everything was back open by the time the CMA music festival hit in mid june.

green hills is alright if you are a hipster pompous douchebag.

Piano Place is The Big Bang. Paradise Park right below it has some of the best burgers in town.

Wildhorse is always fun and very family friendly
