We are driving up Thursday and staying with a friends parents in Mufreesboro and then getting a hotel in the Nashville area (west end or downtown?) for Friday and Saturday. Thursday night we are going out to eat, Friday day is wide open (looking for suggestions) and driving back Sunday.

Well, you'll be near downtown which has Music Row, the Country Music HOF, plenty of bars and restaurants, etc. The downtown bar scene/nightlife is pretty cool too as they have a dueling piano bar much like at Pat O's, but the name escapes me...

If you're interested, the Jack Daniel's distillery is about 45 minutes from Nashville on the interstate.

I must say though I'm not sure what condition downtown Nashville will be in following that crazy flooding up there a couple months back...nearly all of downtown was under water for a couple weeks.

Lots of places downtown to party. Hard Rock Cafe, Wildhorse Saloon, etc. on 2nd Ave. West End area around Vandy has lots of eating places, just a couple of miles from downtown. The May flood shut down the Opry Mills Mall and Opryland Hotel till November. I'd party with the Tiger tailgaters in the Vandy area on Friday if I was you !
