Interesting ... this hasn't shown up on any of the local news wires here in NC yet. Of course, the media here loves UNC and will probably keep quiet as long as possible. If it were an NC State player, it would be plastered all over by now

Star UNC linebacker cited for pot possession in Albemarle
ALBEMARLE, N.C. -- A star player on the University of North Carolina football team was cited for possession of marijuana Saturday in Albemarle.
According to a police report, senior linebacker Quan Sturdivant had less than half an ounce of pot when an officer stopped him in a Bojangles’ parking lot at 11:15 a.m.
Penalties for the class 3 misdemeanor could include a fine or up to 10 days in jail.
Sturdivant is scheduled to appear in Stanly County court on Aug. 2, just one day after the Tar Heels start training camp for the 2010 season.
