Arkansas HAS NEVER EVER been known for having good quarterbacks. Ryan Mallet is an anomaly and Matt Jones was a glorified option quarterback.

Did you stop following football a few years ago? In case you didn't notice, we hired a coach with a losing record from a WAC school for 10 years that could not develop a quarterback to save his life. We replaced him.
Completely agree about Matt Jones, but that goes back to the previous coach.
The longer Miles is at LSU, the more I think he is similar to Nutt. Relies on instincts, doesn't develop qb's (let alone the former dominance of LSU DT's), bizarre game management...
Regarding the Boot, it is contrived. However, as long as it is the last game of the season and is an effective roadblock for each team's Division desires, I think it will be an important game, if not necessarily a true rivalry.
