Experts pick Jim Brown as the best running back just like film critics call Citizen Kane the greatest film of all time. A Generation from now both will be forgotten.
What a fricking fool. Ever hear of Babe Ruth? Motzart ?Shakespeare? Greatness always lives on. Barry Sanders is much more likely to be forgotten or he will be like a Stan Musial. Someone fans who know and care about history will remember, but others will not.
As for Citizen Kane, as long as there are film schools, they will study Citizen Kane. To discuss the movies importance would probably be a waste of my time on you, so go back and watch Transformers 2.

Babe Ruth is no where close to the greatest Baseball player, Citizen Kane is hardly the greatest film ever, And it is common knowledge that Shakespeare has been given credit for plays that he didn't even write himself. Just like these two, Brown and Sanders were some of the greatest players of football. When the generation of today have grown into tomorrows sports writers Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Brett Favre, Adrien Peterson, Drew Brees, Ladanian Tomlinson, etc will be heralded as some of the greatest players ever. Sanders and Brown will be a distant memory. I don't like it,but it is the nature of the beast
