Spain beats Germany today. As a fan of the Spaniards, I was pleased to hear this, but don't put much stock in it. He says the Spaniards are more disciplined than the South American teams and obviously just more talented than the English. He doesn't think Germany's recent run of blowouts amount to anything against Spain. He also thinks Casilas is the best keeper in the Cup and I do tend to agree with that.

while i like what he's thinking, iker is going to be tested today, and that may not be a good thing. iker's form (besides the pk save) hasn't been anything to write home about. i just pray san iker of old shows up today. and if del bosque continues to be stubborn, that torres has a replay of euros!!

eta: sounds like del bosque is going to be stubborn

As opposed to Germany being more disciplined than Paraguay and more talented than the Portugese? Watching Spain play is like watching a bunch of 6 year olds. The fact that they are favorite is outright appauling. They have been riding the cottails of that Euro win for way too long. Germany takes care of business no problem.
