And i'll look for the girl running her finger across the tops of the doorway, pausing to look at the dust, and then give everyone in the place an eat shite and die look as if the idea of dust is so terrible, that anyone still sitting inside and enjoying pizza isn't worth another look.

And I really regret using the "lol" icon on boards. It makes it appear as if I'm sitting in front of my computer uncontrollably laughing, which is pretty much never the case.

You are actually right Tiger, the filth doesn't concern me, it just strengthened my argument. The pissy service doesn't bother me either. It's the cash thing mainly. I just like to argue, as my post count proves.

Well strangely the cash thing is one of the reasons why I like it. Sure, I don't have cash with me all the time and it can be a pain in the arse. But I sort of like a place that says "this is how we do things, you either like it or get the frick." It makes me think that they have a pretty good product and they don't really need to change. I mean, did Dearman's really change all that much regarding the food? Or did the atmosphere and perception just crumble? I certainly don't think it's just about the food, but when I go to a restaurant looking for problems, it will be easy to find them. If I go to enjoy the food and company, it is a little tougher to harp on the small things. And this is coming from a negative dude.

They do take checks. My kid wanted to go for his birthday a few weeks ago. The wait staff was super nice and patient with a party of 12, including kids and a baby. The bill was reasonable, the pizza was great and I paid with a check. It was Memorial Day weekend, so I called to check that they would be open, as they have the leeway to be closed pretty much whenever they want and still have plenty of business. He told me then he would be closed 4th of July weekend. It's not difficult to understand.

Fleur De Lis is the weirdest pizza joint... they make it so hard to get pizza its like they don't want you to have it
