I thought it was pretty funny and a slap in the face to all those people who are happy about the moratorium and have no idea how much petroleum is a part of their everyday life.

The moratorium is on deep water drilling only.
It's only a slap in the face to the people who are too stupid to see that the ban is a good thing and will not significantly decrease oil production since there will still be other operating wells.
Just not in deep water.
