Thats for research universities. Why dont you pull up the top 65 public schools and compare those numbers. SEC=Big 12

UT considers itself a premiere research university and has a history with working with fellow AAU members within its conf. This would be hampered if it enters the SEC.
You can imagine how the profs are loving the idea of teaming up with the Cal system of schools.
