Lets just say LA Dodgers drafted Zach Lee knowing they could not pay him and won't sign him giving them another 1st round pick next year. Is that not a total dick move towards this kid who could have signed for millions with another team late in the 1st or early 2nd round. They knew approx. what his asking price would be before they drafted him. Don't get me worng I really want him at LSU but what if he gets hurt on his 1st snap and never earns a penny b/c the dodgers broke asses could not sign him. The dodgers may give him what he is asking but I just dont see it happening.

Yea it is a dick move, but the fact is if he does not want to be signed then in the long run it wont matter because it was his decision that invoked this pick.
Now, if he gets hurt on the first play and never earns a dime that would just suck balls for all involved.

Simple answer is that the Dodgers had to make the decision that was best for thier business interests. If drafting Lee was the best business decision for the organization, then so be it. It's tough that Lee has to be the pawn in the game so to speak, but unfortuantely thats the way it goes sometimes.

Was it a dick move on Zach Lee's part to say that he wanted to play football unless payed uber amounts of money? The Dodgers would only be taking advantage of what he started. Plus, the Dodgers will offer him a good amount of money to sign their first round pick. It's not like they are going to say, "Oh, he's playing football, we didn't know oh well. Let's not waste our time on even offering him a contract." It's up to Lee to see what he wants to take to play baseball. And I look at this as some negotiating leverage on the Dodgers part to counter his demand.

At least they drafted a kid who intentionally set his tag too high because he wanted to play college football. More of a dick move if they did it to someone who strictly wanted to be drafted.
