Get out of the group. Everything afelter that is gravy considering wr face the Germans in the Knockout rounds.
not if we are #1 out of our group.
I am going to be surprised and delighted if we dont lose to both England and Slovenia, 1-0.

If Slovenia keeps us off the scoreboard, we're going to see a lot of complaining about Bob Ball.

Am I the only one who thinks we can win our group? This team can beat England. England supporters are as guilty of thinking their team is better than they are, as US supporters are of thinking their team is worse than it actually is.
Turkey is a very talented squad, and we were able to come from 1-0 behind to win in the second half. That is HUGE, and this team will gather a ton of confidence from that. They also got to play with a lead and try to protect it against Australia another quality side that did qualify for the finals. We let them back in it, but put the game out of reach with a late goal from Gomez.
To learn from these situations and also come away with results is vitally important. The Yanks are going to be hungry, have fresh lessons on their mind, and are coming off of two straight wins. Confidence will be high, and I think we win this game 2-1 and subsequently our group.
