re: Oil Spills and Hurricanes

I like dr masters too....unfortunately, this aricle didn't answer my biggest question....since hurricanes rely on heavy evaporation of warm gulf water, would an oil slick over most of the gulf weaken or prevent a hurricane from developing?....
