Dandy Don indicated that we had offered Zach Oliver---is that true?

Poor Dandy Don...I love him to death, but all he did was wake up and ask his magic 8 ball.

this makes it sound like he is waiting for an offer:

quote:

After the Les Miles Tiger Football Camp in a few weeks, Catholic High quarterback Zack Oliver expects to either be holding an LSU offer or moving forward with his process.

If he does get an offer, it won't be a committable one until QBs start falling off our board

Like Marquise Williams:

quote:

The 6-foot-3, 218-pounder has scholarship offers from more than 20 college programs but narrowed his list to a top five earlier this month. That group consists of Michigan, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Louisiana State.

You guys kill me !!! There is NOTHING the other guys have over Oliver, except they are "out of state",and that in itself, seems to create more interest for some of you LSU people. Oliver has every QB tool that any of them have, plus his arm may be even stronger. The recent Combine reports are saying his speed and quickness is ever bit as good as any drop-back QB in the country. You have a Louisiana boy, who really believes in LSU, as y'all do, and for some reason you cant completely support that. I dont get it. Even though Oliver has national exposure, we all know that Catholic High doesnt promote their players as much as some of the other high schools whose players you talk about. I read an article that The Army Bowl, in San Antonio, has invited him to their Birmingham Camp along with some of the other nationally ranked QB's. Lets see what happens there !!

Bravo! Bravissimo! Couldn't agree more! I think Zack would do us proud. I do like o-o-s QBs Justin Worley and Brandon Allen also, but it looks like they'll be playing against us in the SEC. I really hope we offer Mr. Oliver soon!

Exactly what I was thinking. If he was THAT good, he would have gotten an offer before all the OOS guys. It's not like Oliver just came up on the radar, so he's no surprise

"Windows" is a transparent fool who changed his logon id to get back on here promoting Oliver only! Check out his 32 or so "career" posts under his profile. Every one is about Zach Oliver, because he is obsessed and that is all he looks for. He is clearly the dad or a brother, etc. His posts are embarrassing to the kid and he should realize that they don't help the kid, they just hurt. When he tried to talk about the javelin, he really sounded dumb. By the way, Oiver was ranked about 12th in the State for all classes this year...he gets good coaching. What's worse, this idiot "windows" rips Stevie Douglas, who has a bigger arm, in his posts and Zach and Stevie are friends. Oliver is a very good QB, doing well in camps and can handle himself without "windows," although he is slow, his toughness is unproven because he was on a good team with great receivers and a very good line lasy year, etc. Go away "windows"... and shut up!" Your "boy" is a good kid and will play somewhere!!

A school like LSU needs 2-3 guys like Bailey hanging around. A QB becomes ineligible, another gets hurt and all of a sudden you are very thin and need those guys. Look what happened when RP left, etc. Plus keep them busy throwing balls, running Scout team, etc. Bailey is tall, smart, athletic and who knows!

LIVINGSTON - No relative or Catholic High fan here! Just think the kid is legit !!! You are right though - I have focused on this QB this year. Next year it will be another LOUISIANA high school QB. Would that be ok with you if I do that LIVINGSTON?

I wouldn't mind Oliver but I think LSU needs a elite guy right now. Its time for a huge prospect at QB here. If Oliver wants to come after we get a guy higher on our board, I have no problem with him coming. IMO, 2 QBs wouldn't be too bad in this class.

If your going to run a pro style offense you need a pro style QB.Oliver fits that style.

LSU doesn't run a true pro style...

And we really don't have much depth at QB right now. Zach Lee might not make it to campus and JL/JJ are Juniors. CG is only other ship QB on roster. I think we need two QBs this year a elite guy and Oliver as the second.

Shouldn't be hard to sell PT to a huge prospect considering how desperate we are at QB.
