i caught alot of flack for saying dont put the pressure on lsu this yr because they lost alot from last year. when everybody here was on certain lsu player's cocks about how this and that this year going back to the cws and how they were going to be so good. well, if you know something about the game, you would know they could compete this year for maybe fourth in the sec this year but DAM.........even i am like wtf has happened.....they cant win an sec game right now.......last night lsu has the 4 run lead in the last inning and up 9-3 at one point and lost and now losing going to the 5th losing 6-1.....ranaudo, ott, dean, watkins and several other players who were expected to put up very good numbers this year are not, in fact they are horrible stats

what has happened to the lsu mental game is beyond me.......

The team has zero confidence at the moment. Who knows whats going on, I can't ever remember a LSU baseball team going into the tank like this.

Well watkins just got back from an injury in which he missed 20+ games and he still leads the team in steals. Dean's numbers are pretty good. He's batting well over 300 and has 60+ rbi's.So not sure why you are singling out those 2 guys. If anything the pitching has been piss poor the last month and a half.

re: Mainieri (Posted on 5/16/10 at 8:14 a.m. to cds) All I can say is wow. It seems to me that you are the one who is nervous at the first sign of trouble. This is Paul's first season at LSU where he has underachieved with the players on the field. I still believe he is one of the best in the nation but the fact that we can not catch any breaks, pitching has been inconsistant, injuries and no leadership is why we keep losing. I could really see your point if you were talking about Smoke but Paul has been to Omaha twice in 4 years and won a NC 3 years after Smoke ran our program into the ground. Not to mention Paul owned the state of Texas last year. The Skip Bertman days are over man. Every SEC and southern school has seen the money that can be generated on a solid baseball program so LSU the talent is being dispersed over the entire SEC rather than just coming to LSU. Let the 90's go and open your eyes to the new era of college baseball.

Just a tradeoff.

how many teams would want what we're going thru to have a 25 game winning streak and a national championship in the last 2 year?

we'll be fine...
