Wireless router

I'm trying to set up a second computer in the house and Comcast says I have to use a wireless router. I have a two year old wireless router that was installed in my old house and both computers were in the same room so the tech that hooked it up turned the wireless portion off. Now I need to turn it back on so that I can get my remote PC to work on it and I can't seem to figure it out. Is there an easy answer to this, or do I need to have an expert come out and fix it?
