I don't see KW being able to play special teams, which you really need to do to catch on as a 3rd/4th RB.

Keiland has played special teams his entire career from high school til now. You are a moron

One thing about Keiland, he has plenty of carries left in him.

We sure did not do a very good job of using him in our offense.

Creditials ? Really ?

Gfy bro , the KW love on here is just retarded. He was a tiger so I wish him well but that's about it. He was mediocre at best for LSU. If you must you could argue otherwise and maybe even back up your misguided point of view with YOUR creditials.

if averaging 5.7 yards per cary is mediocre, perhaps you should lookup what mediocre means

GTFO, you don't know crap and you just got called on it. Why don't you bring some stats or statements from professionals to back up your horseshite.

Stats
Right, more yards per carry than the starter and same amount of touchdowns on almost half the touches!
Yea Mediocre! IDIOT

Disagree.

He was certainly more than mediocre against Va Tech in '07.

I didn't think KW ran hard until this year but the guy has a ton of upside.

I think he's gonna do well and make our coaching staff look really bad for not playing him more.

Drafted like Pierre Thomas cause the NFL is always right. It's easy to find RBs in later rounds and undrafted

You dumbshit. He had numerous chances!! If the NFL thought he didnt get his "fair chance" he'd have been drafted. Guess you know better than the LSU coaches and NFL.
no need for name calling, that's for 9 year olds. numerous chances? 3-4 carries a game is not numerous chances. when he started & got 15-20 carries he had 100+ yds. i was sick & tired to see k.w. have an outstanding run only to see the bench the rest of the game. he NEVER got a fair chance at lsu, that is my opinion

Good point. The RB pendulum has definitely shifted. There were only 15 RB's drafted even though RB's are an instrumental part of every O. While the Adrian Peterson's are rare, quality RB's are a dime a dozen.

Pulling for him and Shanahan is definitely schizo when it comes to running backs. Still, they have Portis, Larry Johnson, Willie Parker, Ryan Torain, PJ Hill, Anthony Aldridge, and Darrel Young right now. I'm not sure how he can beat out the first 4 listed. Torain came from Denver and Shanahan loved him before he was injured.

Hopefully he can atleast use the opportunity to get noticed and picked up by another team.

He just has to stay healthy to beat them. They are on their way out.

2006-2009...spring practice, off-season workouts, fall camp, etc. He had 3 real chances to earn the starting job and didn't. If you read comments made by him and Les, you can see that the staff was never satisfied that he made the effort necessary to become a complete back. The fact the he didn't turn enough heads to warrant getting picked in the draft, seems to have confirmed this...although I know some of you have a personal, emotional investment in LSU coaches screwing up players, so you'll probably never see this...

Keiland just has to prove that he has recovered from the badly broken ankle. Without the injury he probably would have been drafted. NFL teams don't normally draft a "backup" running back coming off of a shattered ankle. Keiland will be fine and should be a very good pro. FWIW I also think he got the shaft here.
