He was certainly more than mediocre against Va Tech in '07.
I didn't think KW ran hard until this year but the guy has a ton of upside.
I think he's gonna do well and make our coaching staff look really bad for not playing him more.

Good point. The RB pendulum has definitely shifted. There were only 15 RB's drafted even though RB's are an instrumental part of every O. While the Adrian Peterson's are rare, quality RB's are a dime a dozen.

Pulling for him and Shanahan is definitely schizo when it comes to running backs. Still, they have Portis, Larry Johnson, Willie Parker, Ryan Torain, PJ Hill, Anthony Aldridge, and Darrel Young right now. I'm not sure how he can beat out the first 4 listed. Torain came from Denver and Shanahan loved him before he was injured.
Hopefully he can atleast use the opportunity to get noticed and picked up by another team.

2006-2009...spring practice, off-season workouts, fall camp, etc. He had 3 real chances to earn the starting job and didn't. If you read comments made by him and Les, you can see that the staff was never satisfied that he made the effort necessary to become a complete back. The fact the he didn't turn enough heads to warrant getting picked in the draft, seems to have confirmed this...although I know some of you have a personal, emotional investment in LSU coaches screwing up players, so you'll probably never see this...

Keiland just has to prove that he has recovered from the badly broken ankle. Without the injury he probably would have been drafted. NFL teams don't normally draft a "backup" running back coming off of a shattered ankle. Keiland will be fine and should be a very good pro. FWIW I also think he got the shaft here.
