I would actually prefer them to do more ship exploration than use the stargate. Also as previously posted the constant strife over control of the ship is getting old.

Yeah, ship exploration would be nice too.
And the whole point of gaining control of the ship would be to stop the stupid ticking clock of contrived tension.
