(Chris Graythen/Getty Images)The storm clouds are gathering over Baton Rouge. Just three years removed from a national championship, Les Miles is taking heat—a lot of heat—from the LSU faithful. An 8-5 season in 2008 was followed up by a 9-4 mark in 2009, and down on the bayou, that just doesn’t cut it. Though Miles continues to recruit well, all of that “speed” he’s brought in doesn’t seem to be doing him any good. Quarterback Jordan Jefferson is talented but wildly inconsistent, and the Tigers’ offense has been mediocre at best since 2007. In the SEC, ‘Bama is known for crushing defense and Florida is known for innovative offense. As for LSU? Well, these days, they’re known for nothing. Except maybe underachievement.
