is it just me or does he seem pretty overrated?? he seems to ground out to 1st the majority of the time. he's shown flashes while at LSU and will get hot at times but they dont last long.

am i the only one who thinks this way??

Has stretches every year where he can't seem to hit anything, but he always turns out a very productive year.

Anybody know what Dean is hitting against the SEC so far? It seems like he is doing the exact opposite of last year. Hot start and now he is slumping. He has proven that he will finish with big numbers so it shouldn't be too concerning. Once he gets going I think our offense will get going just like last year.

Baseball seasons have a lot of ebb-n-flows. Most players have a few slumps along the way.

Hope Dean will get hot soon.

I certainly hope so. Dean is 2nd in RBI's with 38. Gaudet has 39 RBI's. Of the starting players, Dean's fielding % is the highest at .996 and he is batting 336. Seems like he is doing better than the other players. The others need to pick up their play. Baseball is a team sport.

It's just you. Dean was the best player in the country the last half of his soph year and made 1st team AA. He started slow but played like an AA the second half last year. He's playing o.k. but not great so far this season. Past history tells us he will heat up as the season goes along. That's baseball.
