It was not the pledge of Allegiance, it was the National Anthem and he stated the reasons for his decision were that "he couldn't acknowledge a flag from a country that was built on tyranny and opression." This country was somewhat built upon those principles thru slavery and we all know that, but for him to make millions of dollars from a business (NBA) that was founded in the USA was a little hypocritical on his part. He stands up for what he believes in and I'm cool with that. If he tried to burn the US flag with me around I would be in jail for clockin' his arse.

Speak for yourself. The nation was founded entirely on the principles of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," not slavery. Our nation was the only nation to go to war with its self in order to end the institution of slavery, because of our founding principles. I recommend you study the ideas of American exceptionalism.
