I think the point is that CJ/MAR did it out of (many would say misguided) political and religious beliefs ... not out of spite. Most folks would argue there's a statute of limitations on being a dumbass. Even if he still believes it.

It was not the pledge of Allegiance, it was the National Anthem and he stated the reasons for his decision were that "he couldn't acknowledge a flag from a country that was built on tyranny and opression." This country was somewhat built upon those principles thru slavery and we all know that, but for him to make millions of dollars from a business (NBA) that was founded in the USA was a little hypocritical on his part. He stands up for what he believes in and I'm cool with that. If he tried to burn the US flag with me around I would be in jail for clockin' his arse.

no he is correct in calling you ignorant, they play the national anthem before games and don't recite the pledge.
