Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss were all favored by the odds makers to beat LSU. Name the teams where LSU was the favorite and got beat during the regular season.

So what you're saying is that LSU is the 4th or 5th best team in the SEC

Name the teams that LSU has beaten in the last two years that were ranked in the top 25.

The odds makers are saying it, I'm saying it and the results confirm it.

LSU only beat one "good" team. Much more realistic way of looking at it.

I think that would probably be 3 or 4 which is hat the record played out.

LSU finsihed #3 in the SEC in 2009. Florida Ranked #3 & Bama Ranked #1.

Auburn #10 going into game in '08 and GT in the Chik-fil-a bowl.

LSU didn't lose any other games during the regular season.

Are you sure about Ole Miss?

Why make the distinction between regular season and bowl games? Because the bowl game refutes your attempted point?

I remember when that question was essentially the same as asking how many games we lost, since we were nearly always favored. Now, we're underdogs a few times a year because we aren't as good any more. And that's supposed to be a good thing?

That is the point. Why is everyone up in the air when we won the games we were supposed to win and only loss the ones we were expected to lose? The team did exactly what most people expected them to do.

Wow. We're now reduced to thumping our chests over beating a 5-6 (or was Auburn 4-7?) team two years ago. Whoopie!

Because we were only expected to lose those games due to our own ineptitude. You're basically saying it's OK that we suck because everybody knows we suck.

That Auburn win gets a big fat asterisk cause they turned out to be a pretty darn bad 5-7 team that year and Tech was favored over us because of our woeful underachievement that season.

Let's hope the changes we've made bear fruit and we can start a new trend of beating teams that we're underdogs against.

Either we were better than Ole Miss and therefore were supposed to beat them and didn't, or we were worse than Ole Miss and therefore were supposed to lose to them and did. I don't see where either scenario is any better than the other. The better scenario would be the one that used to occur back in the recent past...when we didn't have to have a debate about whether we were better than Ole Miss.

That's a huge reach right there. Rantards at their finest.

Yes, Ole Miss was favored because they were playing at home. Oddsmakers favored Ole Miss.

So, the oddsmakers knowing we weren't as good as Ole Miss (or, in any event, weren't going to be able to beat them) makes it OK that we couldn't beat Ole Miss?

No, the huge reach is saying that an 8-4 team that got throttled by Mississippi State is a team that LSU is "supposed" to lose to, so that losing to them is not an indication that we have a problem with our coaching staff.
