Tim McGraw obviously tells the poem by Tennyson about how tiger stadium got its name. which Game "what Year" and what coach was the poem originally about. He said a Coach "leader" made a blunder and that it came from a game between Ole Miss and LSU.....Anyone have a clue?

it's just that the movie makes it out to be that the tooey family found him on the streets. not even close. his high school, briarcrest, was trying to recruit him to play football. he had nowhere to live so they found a family that would let him live with them. well, what a better place for him to live than with some ole miss boosters. they also make it out to be that he never played football before. that is another falsehood. he played football as a freshman for a memphis city school and then briarcrest in 11th and 12th grade

Don't think Tennyson's 'Charge of the Light Brigade' had anything to do with naming Tiger Stadium, but it is poetic justice that none of the coaches that play themselves in the movie- Saban, Nutt, Tubberville, Fulmer, Orgeron and Holtz- are at the same school any longer.

Had a former ole miss player tell me that Oher was an arrogant a-hole. He couldn't stand to be around him and won't go see the movie.

for someone so particular and authentic i'd figure you'd atleast spell their name right..
and just because he played football before doesn't mean he wasn't still in need of some serious football structure. you say only 9th grade.. did he not play as sophomore any where? if that's the case the movie seems authentic enough to me.. they also bring in the ncaa investigating them..

They bring the investigation into the movie to make them look like the victim... They spun it to make them look better just like every other "slight altercation" of the movie

Yea as alluded to earlier Tennyson died in the late 1800s. Definitely didn't write a poem about LSU or Ole Miss football.
