They obviously are using it as a loss leader in hopes of selling you a $1.50 soft drink that costs them next to nothing.

what do you not get?
a sausage biscuit cost $1 on the dollar menu + tax =$1.09
if you order a plain biscuit(not on the dollar menu) not a sausage biscuit the charge is $1.09 + tax=$1.18
Mcdoubles are on the dollar menu plain biscuit is not
