Soon, I will be eating out of my lunch box six days a week. I have the lunch meat thing down, scoped out the best deli potato salad, and packed away enough canned fruit to last until Labor Day. I have also recently discovered the joy of vanilla yogurt.

To add variety, what other kinds of things should I be packing?

If you have access to a microwave, leftovers make great lunches.

my office has a frig, toaster and microwave...that opens a world of opportunity.

Bacon for sammiches if you so choose....wraps for those sammiches when you are sick of bread. Canned goods if you happen to have access to a microwave. Taco salad is always a winner.

Help us help you by telling us what you have access to besides your lunchbox....

Why do you have to eat out of a lunch box this time of year?

Nuts...I like dry roasted unsalted cashews and pecans...they're cheap as hell these days in any grocery store.
Bananas and apples are also great and need no refrigeration.
