Catholic's short running back Blane Arnold(5'7-8, 155lbs)

No offers, but I think Arnold can play NAIA, and NAIA have a pretty liberal approach to offering athletic and Academic Scholarships. I would suggest he contact the head coaches and recruiting coordinators at Evangel University in MO, Peru State College in NE, Faulkner University in AL, Uviversity of Virginia @ Wise in VA, Southern Virginia University in VA and Belhaven in MS. He has good hands, good quickness, pretty good speed, good moves/shiftiness, can line up in different positions, is tough, etc. His size will be ok at these schools, the top backs have committed D-I and D-II and they all need the multi-purpose type guys in the backfield. Athletic money is available too.

GenPatton,
That person is out of line posting your name. You are entitled to privacy here and you seem like a good sports fan who has opinions, just like everyone else. I enjoy reading your comments and there is nothing wrong with promoting kids you know or like. He needs to edit out your name, or what he thinks is your name.

He's 47-6 in the last 4 years. That's some rant bullshite there wondering if he's on the hot seat.

Now, the DC? I wish he were fired 3 years ago.

pretty good speed

Im not sure if Arnold has speed like 4.4, he may have a 4.7 time for his 40.
I think he was like the Trindon Holliday(not speed, but he looked like him as far as size is concerned) but actually taller(wow) or Darren Sproles for Catholic High in 2009. CHS lost Marcus Thomas and Lonnie Lockett after 2008 so it was mainly Richard White, Blane Arnold, Bradley Williams, and Blake Ashford for tailback most of the year

Excellent if Jilbert goes to Millsaps. He could check out all the D-III schools in that Conference. LA College is VERY expensive. Hope he can get good academic scholarship money....some schools are very generous with football players. Let me know if he would go as far away as Virginia. Real good D-III conference up there with good academic money available. Kentucky and others States too.

Jilbert could start as a freshman at likes of Milsaps, Rhodes, and others. Pretty good drop-off to D-3.

You've got to realize - it's all non-scholarship, so you have to really LOVE playing football to put up with the BS.

Yeah, usually D-III really works with the athletes to get academic scholarship money, even $10K a year with a 3.2 and 20 on ACT. The problem is that a lot of these schools cost $30K plus a year.
