Omaha help

I am looking to go to Omaha this year but have never been. Are there any recommendations on hotels or areas to stay? I looked for tickets on stubhub and they are pretty high for all sessions. Can you get tickets outside of the stadium-or how does one go about getting tickets for LSU games. Any help is greatly appreciated. I live in West Texas so I don't have access to people who have been. Thanks.

tickets: you can get general admission outfield tickets with no problem.
where to stay: we stay in Council Bluffs, IA which is across the river (less than a 5 min ride)

you will be able to find tickets there. the first weekend is kinda packed, but after that, people cant give tickets away. all hotels are pretty nice. and dont go to Iowa, it sucks

Last year we bought a book of GA tickets 10 tickets for 70 for all rounds. We got out there at 5 30 every morning (first in line ) and tailgated all day til they let us in 2 hors before gametime. It awesome and really cheap
