If that's the first sniper rifle then yea i agree. It's the only one i use. I picked up another guys .50 cal and didnt care for it to much either.

A few of the sniper rifles can have their scope switched out for a red dot and make as a passable short range weapon.
Lack of ammo presents a problem though. Need an Assault squad mate to keep the ammunition coming.
M24 is one of the better long range, one shot kill rifles, but there are others further down the ranks that do this job just as well. GOL comes to mind.
