Best possible scenario for recruiting: LSU goes 14-0, wins the NC, Les Miles is a hero and is not going anywhere. Expected result: We keep all we have and add more great ones.

Next best possible scenario for recruiting: LSU has a great season, maybe wins the NC, Les Miles leaves for Michigan and LSU hires a great new coach with a big reputation who generates a lot of confidence about the immediate and longer term future. Expected result: We keep all or almost all we have and maybe add some great ones.

Decent but not great scenario for recruiting: LSU has a disappointing but not really bad season, Miles either leaves or gets fired, LSU hires a great new coach with a big reputation who generates a lot of confidence about the long term and maybe even immediate future. Expected result: We hold on to most of the ones we have and maybe soften the blow of the losses with a couple of new great ones.

Not so good scenario for recruiting: LSU has a bad season, Les Miles gets fired, and the new coach is not well enough respected to generate much excitement. Expected result: We lose several that we have and don't add many, if any, new great ones.

Worst possible scenario for recruiting: LSU has a disappointing-to-bad season, Les Miles is not fired but is obviously a lame duck being given one more year to frick up before being fired. Expected result: We lose a lot of what we have and don't add any great ones.
