Yes - from what I hear, Grant Dubroc will be his #1 WR next year. Good athlete, but a little smaller than Nelson and Jilbert. Maybe someone will rise up from the CHS Jr or Soph. class.

By the way, Brad Nelson has accepted a scholarship offer from Nichols State - as opposed to preferred walk-on at LSU. Nichols has a new head coach (BYU roots) who is supposed to throw the ball a lot.

I think Zack is in many ways different from Jarrett Lee. With CHS' run to the semis, his confidence is growing. Only downside for me is: he's losing top wideouts Brad Nelson(Nicholls State) and Jovhan Jilbert and the receivers next year will be untested
Oliver struggled some as a 10th grader, but that had more to do with the offense Catholic ran.

Do you watch college football much?

Oregon State has one of the best coaches in college football with Mike Riley.

The aggies had a very young team last season and still put together a 6-6 mark.

Zack is a good kid, but his speed is actually about 5.0 in 40. What matters is his elusiveness in the pocket, ability to buy time, etc. and he needs to work on this, which he has been very hard. His receivers have been better than the guys covering them, except against Central and West Monroe (both bad losses)....we need to see how he does next year with less around him. We also need to see how tough he is....he had a good line, with time and good pockets....maybe this year we can see how he takes hits. My guess is that LSU will not offer. They want dual threats, who can throw and are fast....guys like Perrioloux, Jefferson, Zack Lee.

LSUandAU you are right on. I know Zac and his family and I would bet from what you said in this post and by your username you are his Dad/uncle. If not you have a good view of his strenghts and weaknesses. Good Luck and I hope Zac reaches his full potential.

I'm really not related to him, but my god son who is a QB knows him and I have seen him play vs. Central, Live Oak and West Monroe. I have always been a QB or around QB's. He is a good kid, although I have only met him once. We have some mutual acquaintances and I know several Catholic players and parents.

Right on LSUand AU, if he really succeeds next year like he did last season then his ranking will skyrocket. Plus we can see more mobility from him and his hit-taking ability

Pat Fitzgerald has this club headed in the right direction , 8 wins last year and a bid in the outback bowl and nearly beat auburn if not for damn kicker in ot. Pat was 2008 coach of the year and led Northwestern to bowl bids 4 out of last 5 years...not to shabby to me

yeah, I think Fizgerald is a pretty good coach. His teams usually perform as well as you can expect from a Northwestern team.
